Everest Base Camp Trek
Everest Base Camp is one of the most popular trekking destinations in the world. Located in Nepal, it sits at an altitude of around 5,364 meters (17,598 feet) and is the starting point for climbers aiming to reach the summit of Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth. The trek to Everest Base Camp takes you deep into the heart of the Khumbu region, through Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, you'll pass through beautiful Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries, and breathtaking mountain scenery, including views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and many other Himalayan peaks. Most treks start with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by about 12 to 14 days of trekking. You’ll gradually gain altitude to allow your body to acclimatize and reduce the risk of altitude sickness.
